Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 17 October 2026.
These terms cover the DailyUtil app for the Mac and this website. By installing or using DailyUtil you agree to them.
The licence
- DailyUtil is licensed, not sold. The free tools may be used by anyone, at no charge, with no time limit. A Pro plan gives you a personal licence to the Pro features for as long as the plan runs; the lifetime plan has no end date.
- One licence covers 2 Macs at a time. You can deactivate a Mac in the app and activate another.
- Do not share or resell licence keys, and do not try to get around the licence check.
- Without a plan the free tools keep working. The Pro tools need a plan. A tool that ships free stays free.
Plans and payment
- Plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout.
- The yearly plan renews until you cancel. Cancel any time in the customer portal; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- The lifetime plan is a single payment, with every update for life. Its launch price applies to the first buyers and then rises, as the pricing page says.
- Pro tools that are listed as planned arrive in updates. A plan includes them as they are released; we do not promise a date for any one tool.
- Payments are handled by Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record, under its own terms.
Refunds
If DailyUtil Pro is not right for you, write to [email protected] within 30 days of buying and ask for a refund. We would rather refund you than keep an unhappy customer.
What you put into the app
- What you paste into a tool stays on your Mac. You are responsible for what you choose to send to an AI provider or, with the network tools, to a host.
- AI features use Apple Intelligence or your own key with an AI provider you choose. That provider's terms and charges apply to what you send it.
- AI answers can be wrong. Check a fix, a generated sample or an explanation before you rely on it.
No warranty
DailyUtil is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it is free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do.
